To fund your war, you purchase money buildings that generate different cash amounts at different time intervals from minutes to hours to days. There are some items that generate a lot of money.  Those are Oil Wells and Munitions Stock Piles.   The opportunity to purchase these items only stays around for a limited amount of time.  By the time it dawns on you that I need to purchase a ton of Oil Wells and Munitions Stock Piles, you can’t.

Prices go up every few levels increasing the cost to buy, upgrade or build.  The cost of land for example is relatively cheap in the beginning but continues to go up during the game.

Buildings and base items you purchase have levels.  You can tell that by the tiny number that is on them.    If they are money buildings or items, they produce more money the higher the level.  Some are a waste of money to upgrade.  You will be eventually required to upgrade certain items so you can purchase more elite equipment or forces.
